Welcome to my website,

I am an amateur wildlife photographer based in the County of Norfolk, England. I’m very fortunate to live in such a great county with a variety of unique and beautiful wildlife.

I bought my first digital SLR in 2007. Initially I experimented with different genres including landscape and portraiture but it wasn’t long before I found my niche in wildlife photography which grew from my lifelong interest in the natural world.

Wildlife is probably one of the most challenging and diverse subjects in photography. Most creatures are elusive and it is rare when all the elements can be brought together in a single shot. The challenge adds to the enormous sense of achievement when I capture a good image. I am always trying to improve and continuously on the never ending search for the perfect image.

The real joy I get from my photography is the opportunity it gives me to connect myself and others to the beauty of wildlife and the natural world. It provides me with peace and tranquility but also surprises and inspires me on a regular basis.

For the last few years I have entered a number of photographic competitions which have helped to focus my work and motivate me to generate a portfolio which I am proud of. Here are my highlights:

2008 – I won the opening round of the Canon Photo Excellence awards.

2009 – 3 images shortlisted for the British Wildlife Photography Awards (BWPA) in its inaugural year.

2010 - I won the British Seasons Category of BWPA, published in Collection 1 of the book and my winning images were exhibited on the nationwide tour. In the same year another one of my images was also exhibited at the Forum in Norwich as part of the Elements Contemporary Art Exhibition and I was runner up in the Digital SLR Magazine Worlds Apart Competition.

2011 – 6 images shortlisted for BWPA.

2012 - I was highly commended in the Animal Behaviour category of BWPA and a further 3 images were published in Collection 3 of the book.

2013 – I reached the top 300 of the BWPA shortlist with two images in the Animal Portrait and Habitat categories.

2014 – I was highly commended in the British Seasons Category, published in Collection 5 of the book and my images exhibited on the nationwide tour.

In the sixth years since the British Wildlife Photography Awards started it has grown to become one of the most important photography awards in the UK. It attracts both amateur and professionals alike and boasts entries from some of the top photographers working in the UK today i.e. Andy Rouse and Ross Hodinott. The number of entries and the standard rises each year so just to keep pace is an achievement in itself.

All my images are available as prints, mounted or framed, and can be purchased using a secure Pay Pal system or by alternative payment method if you prefer. If you have any sales enquiries or just wish to comment on what you have seen please do so via the Contacts Page!
